Anyone using Max for animation by chance?

Cause I just stumbled into 2 nice effects:

1. while refining the camera animation in Curve Editor suddenly the pivot of my camera decided to move somewhere 50 meters to the side of his proper location. Close and reopen of Max returned things to normal.

2. One of the objects in my scene, a stand-in human figure (Poly+Meshsmooth), tends to disappear. Investigating the problem I found that it just sets its Dimentions to 0, 0, 0. This happened 3 times in about an hour.

Are there some hidden shortcuts for this (like "Screw Up my Scene"), or it's the way it's supposed to be?

I can probably explain No. 2

Are you using set key?

There is a nasty bug in either editable poly or set key, which causes any sub-object selections to collapse when a totally unrelated object (a bone for example) is animated with set key.

I would either convert it to an editable mesh, or make sure that you don't have any sub-object selections on editable polys.

This was reported by users months ago, but discreet haven't fixed it - personally I doubt they will (for R5 anyway)

Thanx, Steve, for the help :-) I'll keep this in mind.
