This is my first post and i welcome comments & critiques on how i can further improve my work. This was my first attempt at integrating a 3d object into a scene. It was a intergration excerise that i did for my 3d clasesi. The pool was modelled, textured & lighted in max 4
to host hope you like it.

Hello ro
I think you need to experiment a lot more with textures and the use of bump map and displacement maps(for the pool perhaps) It depends what your looking for in an image but i think that you might want to do some more work on the textures. It needs quite a bit more detail if u want it to stand out. It looks like an image that has been put together quite hastilly.
But its coming along nicely how much time have you spent on it so far?
Silly me didnt look at your second post ..... which is very nice I think the lighting was pretty good, it just needs some more detail to it.
