View Full Version : Things are disappearing

I have no idea if this is a stupid question or not, but I didn't see it anywhere else...

I am fairly new to maya. today I was working on a scene that was relatively simple. I had some planes with twist deformers on them.

I was using the twists for a subtle background effect, so I didn't notice exactly when, but all the twist deformers disappeared. There is no trace of them. The planes are all still there, but the twists are gone. I'm pretty sure that they're not just hidden or something, 'cause the animation on the planes is gone, too.

I didn't delete anything connected to them (that I know of). This has happened to me before with a couple other things, too. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

umm I don't think so. I didn't delete the history of the planes or anything... whould there be something else I deleted the history of to make that happen?

That twist handle also gone from your outliner?.

yes. completely gone. no trace of it anywhere.... and there were about ten of them,

Is your problem repeatable, or it is just one case?.

well it did happen to me before with geometry, but I think I figured that one out....this is the first time it's happened to me with deformers, though.
