I just took a look at your demo reel which was pretty cool ltos ov variation which guess is a good thing . The hovercraft looks much nicer actually moving I must say. Thx for posting it I really like it .
that latest demo reel i made before finishing this particular project. i had someone who needed a copy right away. gonna redo it this weekend with an updated version of this project.
@summeralive: what are you talking about "details on the body"? and the shadows are there but very mild and washed out. maybe i should make them stronger.
here's a shot WITHOUT the shadows so you can see the difference.

d8ed, your work is amazing!
I like the shaders and the soft shadow. I don't believe you need to increase the shadow density considering the light source. Composition is excellent. May I ask what was your method and software used for this composition?
cheers!
thanks davidSingha!
it's a mess of software actually. jets are modeled/textured/rendered in Softimage XSI 3.5. Background is modeled/textured/rendered in Lightwave 7.5 and composition/motion blur/shadows added in Photoshop 7.

The motion is quite good. How about making the model more detail...add more robotic stuff (just IMHO)
yeah i thought about that.. but i was just going by the concept mostly. and wanting to get it done by siggraph which starts in a couple days =) i might go back to work on it after it's over. then again i might not.. sometimes a project needs to be filed in the done section ya know?
