View Full Version : image sequence materials
Azure 05-10-2002, 06:56 PM Is there a way to base an image sequence in a material on particle age rather than time. (yes i already tried entering the sequence in a particle age material, it still plays the sequence based on the timeline rather than the age of the particle) Any help, thoughts, or advice would be greatly apreciated.

It is not clear what you are trying to achieve - when we animate we agree to use time as a basis, even particle age has setting related to time. Seems like a dozen or so shaders with different lenghts (alt frame seqz) would do the trick. No?
Unless you want to bust into the SDK, expression controllers, maxscript and parameter wiring you may be making a big task out of a simple illusion.
Ever use the IFL manager?
