Hello there. I scribbled quickly something to illustrate an idea I have in mind.
I liked to hear the hunting stories of my grandfather when I was a little girl.
So the idea is based on that.
The scene:
Small smokey cabinet room. More like a 40's trophy room maybe with a fireplace. Company of old huntsmen are telling stories around the table. Smoking cigs and drinking a bit. Behind one sofa is our main character - little girl, quietly listening the sories. Curiousity in her eyes and teddy with spyglass in her hands. Hmm...let's see how I can manage that ehh :)

Here is a plain line-art from 3D models for the scene. I know it looks empty at the moment in some corners. I plan to put a trophy fur on the wall and some nice plant to give the room some nature life. Question is how should I focus on my main character. Have to give her a secondary light source. Main will be the fireplace itself...

Textures concept, without characters and some room elements also basic colors and no light sources, shadows yet.

Old man smoking a pipe. Funny dude, other two men should look much elder who are taking part of the conversation.

OK. I figured I like to work on my picture like working on a puzzle. While I decided to change my characters a bit, I started working on colors and lights. And the details! So here is a fireplace and deer trophy.
I'm just too restless to plan it all at once and then doing it step by step.
I even might change my overall concept and start it all over (hopefully not) :p
To make my current concept stronger I decided to make the old men meeting to look like some secret clan meeting. Adding strange symbols and objects.
Also a door to the left where the girl came from - her bedroom.
Comments are welcome! ;)

your idea is unique in this contest, everyone's going for the slick 007-esque characters, it's nice to see something defferent. I know your still in the early stages but i like what you've done so far, especially the rendering of the deer on the wall. The bear skin looks a little too big though, great work.

Hey miycko, thanks. Your comment is motivating :)
I'll see what I can do with that bear.
