This is an updated/modified version of the “Race Blade #2” originally created by Craig Clark (http://www.f-nine.co.uk/index_2.htm). The original design inspired me to try and take the aircraft to the jet age.

While extensive modifications have been made, the original “vision” set by Craig is something I tried to stay with.

Fuselage detail work is winding down and from there the cockpit will get my full attention.

All control surfaces are movable. They include front elevators, front rudders, rear rudders, rear aileron, 2 stage split flaps, and spoilers/speed brakes.

Please follow the links to high resolution images.

Rear ¾ view. Spoilers extended. Flaps extended.

Wow Randy ... those are really Sharp! ;)

You guys from Digital Domain simply amaze the hell outta me. I remember looking at some similarly detailed ships while back by "Bob" (who used to work at Digital Domain).

Would it be possible to see some wireframes? The detail in those panels and the engine! What's the poly count like?!!

Think ya pretty clever with your sexy design and fancy detail don't ya :p

But seriously, awesome detail modeling. I really like where you've taken Craig's designs. Can't wait to see it evolve...

one small crit :
I don't like the nurnies (bumpmap?) on the nose. They don't seem to have any functionality. especially the round thing.

great design though

I like it. I really like the "business end of the engines" shot, in particular.
