2 issues actually... I just had a blue screen crash on my month system (which has been superb otherwise). The error had something to do with nvlddmkm(dot whatever). I rebooted and its working again, but in the meantime, I took a look inside the box to see if anything was amiss - I noticed that the vidcard (285GTX) is running fairly hot.

I'm wondering what is acceptable temperature for this under normal use, eg animating in maya, watching hulu, - no big models or rigs, just something basic. The solders on the back of the board is surprisingly hot to the touch! Nothing else in the system is even near as hot. Nothing on the system is oc'd, but I'm putting in prolima tech mega this weekend and going to test some oc's, so I'm curious if I should address this first.

ASUS P6T V2
INTEL i7 920 (not oc'd)

Any ideas about either the crash or the heat?

80C or something would be OK, I'd imagine. Not sure what you're going to do with this info unless you download a temperature monitor, cos you can't tell the temperature by touching it!
