Danmoreno 07-25-2003, 08:38 PM Hey guys,
I´ve just finished an animation for a friend. Can you give me some critics on this? I want to improve it further. Here is the link:

i think this is a great start. some more refined critiques:
she's got really floaty IK arms. look how her wrists flick like they have no weight or bone holding it together. they flop down on her hips when they should have more force. the wrist raises up very stiff when posing towards the blowing of the kiss.
when she walks her posture looks like her torso is bending forward like a hunchback.
on the walk, her feet dont roll and there isnt much dip in her stride.
keep up the good work!

Yes, i agree...got to work on that too. thanks! :) do you mean they are floating when she is going to make the pose right? I totally agree with the kiss part.
>when she walks her posture looks like her torso is bending >forward like a hunchback.
Ok, posture. i will fix that too.
>on the walk, her feet dont roll and there isnt much dip in her >stride.
Dip = recoil? i didnt want her to go down a lot. but i can make it more noticeable. :). As for the feet roll...i´m stuck with that...she is kind of a robot...of rigid parts (please ignore the sleeves-bad skin). I will try to work around.
>keep up the good work!
Thanks!! :) i really appreciate the critiques.

Ok, here is the first update...i removed the kiss blowing, for now; will work on that later. How do you like it now? i have accentuated the hips, fixed the sliding feet and tones down the hands. (i think). I also rendered a frame to post along. This is the rendered version, but dont expect a big texture thing. Her shaders are rather simple.
and here is the link to the animation fix #1:
