I just posted a huge message.
It told the file was too big! I back up and lose my messages..

Point, one last time,
you're all still using washed out tif's for you HDRI scene's.
If you're using those files with the luminance is set to 800%
those are wrong.

Look.

yup, i don't have a clue what is meant here.

the old hack to fake hdri (before hdri support was native in cinema) does work... to an extent though, you're still missing a heeluva lot of data (remember to make sure that in the channel settings you set the mode to Multiply as well as setting the brightness to whatever, as otherwise nothing will change from the original tiff).

but seeing as 8.1 has full hdri support i haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

Hi sanfranguy,
can't say i know what you are talking about
On a completely different note i would like to ask you to give credit when using other peoples models for your renderings.

Sanfranguy, yo have continiously said in some threads this already but we cannot even understand what your implying by All/everyone doing it all wrong! If your "one of the best C4 users" as you claimed in one thread, then try to show it by making sense. You have 8 total posts at CGtalk forums and 7 of 8 are about HDRI and people not using it correct.

Who is using TIFs for their HDRI scenes? Where are you getting this? Apart from some old, pre-8.1 tutorials, that no one is talking about....

Genuinely puzzled...
