When it comes to simulate physical or chemical beheavior in science or industry, we typically use the fastest algorithm we can find. However those algorithms typically have a poor graphics capabilities.

We typically save the results of our simulations in a plane txt file, that we latter load in any of the molecular packages. It would be worthed to add this hability to blender ( is it already has it, please let me know that ). I was thinking in a single option where blender reads some headers like environment or box size, and then reads X Y Z RADIUS and COLOR of different particles.

Latter on, we coud update the script for use different set of configurations, in order to describe de movement of the particles in the simulation.

This would be wonderfull!!!

Thanks!

If you go to wiki.blender.org in the scripts section, there is a molecular importer by theeth, not sure if it has been updated to use the latest version of the API.
