06-30-2009, 06:40 PM
The agent's main weapon... some kind of futuristic mass destruction handheld weapon....
06-30-2009, 07:40 PM
Hah I thought it was a cool, ship design, before I read it was a gun. Cool, concept designs.
Looking really nice. I'm looking forward to seeing this in 3d!

07-05-2009, 07:28 PM
@ CGIsrael: I just saw the video! It gave me so much new ideas!
@ TCPortfolio: Yep... I like to do a lot of test renders, to find the best look with the lowest render times, I hope the final animation can have this quality....
@ redCigarette: We are making a really great effort to mantain the visual style... looking the other threads with animation tests and rigged characters make us feel we are soo late... :S
Soon: An update of the Priest Modeling..... :applause:

StoryBoard page 9, the first half of the stoy finishes here... More about the story and the rest of the storyboard soon... : )
07-06-2009, 06:16 PM
Nice..That's one elaborate storyboard. Lot of scope for great FX work here!
Though I wished it had an English version too
07-07-2009, 04:12 AM
When modeling this kind of mechanic stuff, i tend to build it and rigg it as i am modeling, to avoid geometry interpenetration. This is the rifle open and closed.
Realy digging the design here. I love the organic feel of it.
Action sequences are also looking epic from the boards!

The High Priest, Modeling By Ezequias.
07-08-2009, 06:55 AM
@redCigarette: Sorry... the team speaks spanish... and I'm way too lazy to do an english storyboard...
@Pyke: Thanks! there are some surprises to come.... ;)
07-09-2009, 07:24 AM
The building's base mesh is complete... now we only have to "decorate" it
This is to visualize the camera angles and apertures for the final animation. and making animatics
07-09-2009, 07:26 AM
The fight takes place in this bridge. The High Priest is almost 5 times taller than the agent....
07-09-2009, 07:28 AM
We are having some trouble working with a scene this big.... but making it tiny and then scaling it would'nt trhow the same result.

This is a light rig for the dsc 0373 rifle. The rig was made by MarquezJorge
07-10-2009, 04:49 PM
Wow, absolutely phenomenal visual style with the rifle!
I love your project's organic-mechanical style... can't wait to see how your models and environments turn out in 3D!
Best regards, Varun
07-10-2009, 06:43 PM
A quick test for the environments, just added some pipes and blocks... : )
07-11-2009, 02:39 AM
That looks fricken awesome!! I love that gun. The story board is looking pretty sweet so far. :buttrock: :applause: :bounce:
Keep it up! I can't wait to see more.

The High Priest
Once a respetable scientist, he found a way to insert the human thoughts into a cybernetic shell, the only problem was that the memories would dim after a time...
He found that all the memories could be stored in a central matrix, to be constantly reinserted into the cybernetic brain, but soon, tempted by the greed of knowing it all, he inserted all the memories into his own artificial brain, becoming nearly omniscient.

@ Pyke: Video updates really soon :buttrock:
Wow!!! This is looking really awesome. Love your designs!!
07-17-2009, 04:52 AM
Phew! I had many conflicts to rig this character, I had to reorient almost all the joints to get it to work, but seems that It's done now.
The funniest part, skin weighting

Props for the buildings of the first shot... there will be an entire ciry out there, buildings hanging from the ceiling, and some buildings as columns---

07-24-2009, 04:37 AM
Some textures applied to the main building
07-25-2009, 06:29 AM
More and more buildings in the scene, the opening scene must show the size and complexity of the structure... wonder if mental ray will render this on time.
Maybe we should make some renders for cards and do it in a matte painting....

Just testing the rig for the priest... There is some dynamics work to do for the tubes and cables .. thanks Isk-86, you instanced them...
07-26-2009, 10:58 AM
Getting a BioShock/Rapture-ish vibe from the environments.... maybe just in the feel of the scale and those reactor-like things.
Character's looking interesting. Keep the updates coming.
Best regards, Varun
07-27-2009, 09:32 PM
Starting the agent's exoeskeleton... there will be tons of detail here.. hope we can hande all that for the rig :)

I'm enjoying a lot the previews, storyboards and still images of this project. As far as now my favourite item is the weapon, how it works, the materials, the shape of it ...its like visual poetry ...I think I'm in love of it!
I had notice also that the storyboard hasn't audio line, I wonder why? :surprised
But the story and the camera moves looks fantastic, a lot to work out. There are parts on the storyboard that is used as a character bio's... It seems a llittle messy, a good idea is to have it apart.:lightbulb
Is a really good project, keep working on it! Is worth.
P.S. Can't wait to see the graphic design, credits...
07-30-2009, 06:28 AM
Les dejo una pose del priest, comienzo a testear la animacion desde este dia.
Here is a pose for the priest, I will begin today with animation tests : )
07-30-2009, 08:51 AM
Looking interesting. I have noticed that your character has extremaly large hands, almost twice as big as its head.... a bit wierd, but overall looking very nice.
07-30-2009, 02:34 PM
@ saeDubai: Hey! thanks man... we are trying to give the film an overall dark look, guess that bioshock has that dark look.... : )
@ SS4DIR: Thanks for the "Visual poetry" just wait to see it opening (As soon as I can make the **** CgUploader work...) About the messy storyboard/character bios... well, it's all in my head and all this started as a standalone project... and when I realized it, I hade a big team to work with, and not much time to work :wip:
@ pierzak: yep... long fingers... the original design had very very loooong arms... but it looked kinda ape-shaped
