http://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g96/374596/374596_1245839743_large.jpgI am new to anatomy, and this is my first painting based on new knowledge of anatomy. The light is supposed to come from front at the thin guy, and from behind at the large guy. I will add silouhettes of people in the distance and make the background less sterile later. Right now I am trying to paint the faces and bodies. I try to avid the use of layers, to better study color theory, so all colors are painted directly on.

This paint is giving me some interesting challenges. I first made the faces in profile, and later realized that it could be hard for bodies to stay dyamic, ready to hit while the faces are in profile. Does the heads and body connect ok, without too much twisting? Does the faces look too stiff and bent in one direction? I think it looks okay, but maybe some of you see something else?

My second question is if the mouth of the big guy is pulled too far back compared to the eye? I know the proportions of face from front, but a bit unsure when it's in profile. The thin guy is lowering his jaw impossible much, but think it looked cool, and didn't change it.

Other comments and critics are welcome, too!
