Hi everyone,

If you caught last weeks free session, thanks for joining in. :)

This Saturdays session is going to be much different! This time we'll be doing a project based voxel sculpture of a human bust with fine wrinkly details and all, and then retopologizing it. It should be a lot of fun. If you're curious about how to use the voxel sculpting tools, this is definitely your chance to get an idea of how to use them and how they work. This session will be recorded, and packaged in as a DVD (or download) through KURV. It will last between 2-3 hours and will cost $19.95.

The big advantage to live training is you get to ask questions and hear other questions answered as well. After 600 heads are better than one right :).

Also, we just got the approval from the guys over at Pilgway (makers of 3D Coat) that all registered customers for the class will receive $20.00 off 3D Coat if you do not already own it.

Click here for more details - http://www.kurvstudios.com/live_training/

Also we just got the word in that everyone that registers will get a 20.00 coupon towards the purchase of 3D Coat. At this time it is only for new purchases, not upgrades, but were asking about upgrades :) We will let you know.

Remember, as well... if you register you also get $20.00 off the retail DVD when released.

So if I can't make the live recording I can register for $20 anyways and get a coupon for $20 off 3D Coat and get to download the live session that I missed? If so, I'm sold.

I personally do believe this to be the case, but... See below.

I am not sure if that is the case, I noticed this in the portion of the gotomeeting signup page:

* I agree that by registering I am paying $19.95 and if I do not attend the class, a $5.00 registration fee is non-refund.

I'll ask Wes (KURV) to come verify this information. Thanks for your question. :)

If you register, you get 20.00 off 3D Coat, new version now, were checking into upgrades as we speak. And you will get 20.00 off the training DVD when sold as a retail product. It mat sell at 39.95, 44.95 not sure. Depends on how long the class runs and what the content is... ect. But it will be very fair as we believe all our videos prices are.

Hope that helps, was that what you thought?

Hey all,

I wanted to thank those that attended today's class! It was fun, and I hope you enjoyed it and learned something about 3DC. I wish of course we had more time to explore the many different aspects of 3D-Coat, to show more to you guys. Though we did go over the time limit. ;)

Anyway, thanks again those that were there!

Seems like 3D Coat is shaping up to be an amazing sculpting app. and the price seems unbeatable. Nice to see you doing some training on it geothefaust.

Hey Larry!

Thanks, 3DC is definitely a great program, and it's only getting better. Andrew has some really good things in the pipeline.

Great to see your training for LWCAD is working out too, I'd like to attend a session of yours at some point. Time permitting of course. :)

From the demo-download section:

The 3D-Coat software should not be used in the production of any lewd or obscene materials, as well as any products which propagandize hatred against people. We understand that we are not able to monitor everything created with 3D Coat, but we remind you about your responsibility before God.

o_O Uh...that's odd.

we've been thru this eula issue at length and it ususally ends with the thread being locked or deleted...so don't bother bringing this up again here please.

moreover if you personally have an issue then maybe go to the 3dcoat forum or email their support.

Didn't know it was brought up already. I'm guessing they won't actually sue or anything though if I do a nude sculpture. Just seems odd for a commercial software.

But I didn't mean to hijack this thread. 3d-coat looks amazing and I'll probably grab a license despite the weird EULA.

thanks for your understanding on this...we've had a few threads locked as you may guess.
