So MAKE just created the program opener for the 2009 Palm Springs International ShortFest. We chose to combine multiple film making mediums to reflect the diversity of the film festival and it’s offerings. 3D animation, stop motion, and live action are just a few of the mediums that work together to create a layered visual effect in this unusual romance story. Please take a moment to check it out:

I love all the styles! Great concept. If only it was so easy to turn the character sketch into a model!

Oh my God :O ... it's more than AWESOME, such a good idea and execution. How many people did work on that project?

Cheers, SEB.

Glad you guys like it!

We had 6 guys work on it on and off for about a month or so. The nice thing is that it wasn't one guy per style, but rather everyone participated in multiple sections.

We also had a short 2D animation featured in the festival. Will post it in a couple of weeks!
