i wouldn't wanna run into him in a dark alley... but then again, maybe i could hurt his feelings before he attacked me by making fun of his flabby arms. seriously, thats the only thing i can crit right now. his arms look more flabby than muscular.

It looks really good, he certainly looks very scary :scream:

if you don't mind me asking, how did you go about modeling him, I would love to start getting into fantasy character modeling, but don't know where to start :).

Many thanks

hi hi sinistamunkey, certainly i'll tell ya how:cool: Well first I <me> throw down something on paper..mabey a hand...and then i say hey this hand could use something off the wall..like a couple of belts and some chains to restrain my character...Now if you think about it if something is going to be restaining your character he will either be really big to break through the chains or very very skinny..almost dead like, mabey a zombie breaking chains. I don't know if this is a very good Starting example but. You have to think what speical ability does my char have...for mine he can weild a 7ft cleaver and manipulate Lightning. And he can only do that because i like lightning...You shoulds put things on your character you like If you want a 10ft broad Sword or a ability to conjure up a black energy beam so be it. Now< i'm not to good at this im not sure if that even help in the least>Now for the modeling I throw my drawin on the ol' clip board and draw him in photoshop. a front and the side view. After that i use RED to draw the outlines so i miss nothing. Once i bring it into maya I use nurbs curves for a 3d refrence.. like this.

After I get all of the curves in i use a poly plane for each curve and use extrude edge along the curves. Its good that you have a good sense of anatomy first

http://www.cooperr.com/stuff/CleaveWIP4.jpg

Now i changed his arms to meet the hero anatomy scale. Which is muscels to big..bones snap. in other words comic book heros.

Now that ya have your body. go wild man. I would say if in another life this character i did would be in a mech suit for some reason. I hope that gave you an idea...i dunno if thats what ya wanted or not but i'll be here and feel free to ask ma anything.
