Hi all
I am Roger and this is the first time I have taken the plunge and entered a CG competition.
Approach:
As a lead I am using Gemma White's great short 'The Next-Gen Agent' (full credits to her for providing such a great and humorous piece). I am going for the part where the agent 0069 removes the hairpin from Cecilia Hotchik's hair.
I have made a list of some of the key-ingredients
Character list:
1 - Agent 0069
2 - Ms. Cecilia Hotchik (luscious dark brown hair)
3 - Ridiculous wheeling seagulls
Key environment:
1 - Waves (seascape)
2 - Sky
Prop list:
1 - Small inflatable boat
2 - Various encased explosive devices
3 - The ticking clock face at his feet
4 - The hairpin
5 - Lots of sticky tape
6 - something with the M.U.N.T logo on it
7 - Some wires that connect the explosives with the detonator
Step one:
I have googled the story to see if there is more of it to give the characters some more depth, but I did not get any results.
Next I looked up what encased explosive devices are; basically can be anything that holds the explosive together.
For example: “Pipe Bombs, Is any homemade explosive device encased in a piece of ordinary plumbing pipe. The pipe makes a convenient container for the bomb, and creates shrapnel when it explodes. "
Seen as we are dealing here with the "underwater lair of evil hook-wielding shipping tycoon, Lars Chance" I am thinking along fish-tin explosives.
I am first going to rough out the scene setting.
Then I will probably do some character sketches and hopefully let it all come together and finish the piece on time :-)
Right of to get started. As soon as I have something "visual" I will post it here.
Good luck to your all

After reading the story a couple of times i first wanted to do some layout of where the characters could be in relation to each other and the other elements so i first made this top-view for refrence purpouces only
