jamination 07-25-2003, 03:03 AM how do i get the camera viewport (i have field guide on) to reflect the actual output of the camera. it appears 4:3 when my output is much different.

Not sure exactly what you mean but you need to set a square pixel ration (that, 1) in the Render Options.

i going to use max as an example. if i change the render output size from 720x486 to 720x100, the camera view safe frame will reflect the change and the safe frame becomes very wide, and i can see exactly what be in and out of frame. in xsi if i do the same thing the safe doesn't change it still looks 4x3.

In max the objects does not get stretched in the viewport when you use a non-square pixel ratio. Honestly I don't see what's different from 3ds max in XSI for that matter. Sorry if I still don't understand.

set the aspect in RENDER OPTIONS and in CAMERA PROPERTIES too
