I have been having a problem animating a model i made. When i go to move the bones the body parts either fan out or brake up. I tried many different ways to do it. Does anyone know the best way to do it.

can you post some pics of the break up and fan out. this might give us some idea as to whats happening with the vertex and weights.

Here is an example of the brakes.

hmm it looks to me like your bones are off like you need to re work your vertex maps, or your claude bonet maps.

that seems to be the problem. Also the whole fiugre may just be bad for animation.

it does not look like it will twist well the way the polys are aligned.

is this model originally in one part ? or is there a chance that at some point in your modeling u did split polygones or i dunno, added some polys without having them all connected ? coz it looks like disconnected polys to me. if its the case, try to use "optimize" on your mesh to fix that.

it seems u're working with a poser model...
If the model is split in more than one part, u should work with Claude Bonnet tool or with wertex weight/ restriction tag.
