Hello everyone! Yesterday I learned about this challenge and here I am now. Best of luck to everyone. OK, here we go: This is the first sketch that came to my mind. This person (still not decided if its a he or a she) is overlooking an entire city. The eyes of the city, has a device to "scan" the place from the balcony.

I was sketching just the character to figure out the sex. Seems to be a girl. Good! Girls are tough and preety. Lets see what happens next. Cheers!

Vinicio del Toro has one of the meanest looks and I?m trying to emulate his eyes. This is my first aproach to the bad guy. My bad guy is a Mexican drug lord. Some kind of super badass meets robin hood.

OK. Her name is Iris, her first mission is to get the most dangerous drug lord: Ruy Pelto. To make this happen she nedds to infiltrate the drug cartel. It's kind of personal matter since her little brother died on a gang related cross/fire shoot while walking to school. she was trained on an ancient and rare Mayan martial art called Xilam, witch means: "to fight or to tear out the flesh".

I've had in my mind the eyes of Kate Walsh. Maybe she is my inspiration for this character. This is my first aproach to Iris's face. It was hard to draw it just from imagination. Of course I saw pictures of lots and lots of women before I started.

I made some work on Iris's face end expression. Also added a city like background to start visualizing her in context.

Ok. enough with previs. Now I know my characters. This is where I start my concept drawing. I decided to show her fighting skills.

I think that with a kick like that one, the "victim" character should be facing the other side, flip it horizontally. cheers

I'm back. Iwas gone for work, the kind taht pays bills. But now here is some progress. Some textures on the guy, some motion blur on her. I'm starting to draw the background... so, let's see what hapens from here.

I have been working on the background and some composition adjustments. First I outlined the perspective, then took some buildings textures to work from there. Higlights from the windows have been added. Still a lot of work to do.

Today I worked on the background. I?m starting to like it. I want to achieve an impossible camera shot. I mean: with a wide angle lense have some dept of field. Allso the trails of light that the cars leave with an open shutter but freezing the foregroud action. I?m liking this! BTW, I removed the floor because I am thinking maybe they are standing on a glass floor or some kind of a bridge. Not sure yet.

The building on frame right is new. I now have the idea of placing the camera inside an apartment.

I decided to place the camera inside an apartment so it becomes a silent witness in the scene. Maybe it is the boss's apartment in the city and maybe he is the one opening the door reflected on the window.

Software: Photoshop

Sandra Saparcasta a.k.a. "Iris" is an undercover agent working for the Mexican Federal Government to infiltrate the Beltrones Drug Cartel. She is a beautifull young woman who seduces Manuel Beltrones, the main drug lord of this particular mafia band. Some of Bletrones people don't trust iris, since she is scaling positions on the organization very quickly. They suspect she has some kind of vendetta planned against the drug cartel, and they are not wrong. Sandra's little brother was killed on a cross fire between drug dealers back on her childhood days.

On this sceene, Iris is trying to obtain information from one of Beltrones's bosse's apartment in which he hides classified data that will comprimise some of the bosse's business. As she tries to enter the apartment from the window a security guy discovers her and they engage on a dangerous fight on the glass cornice of the building. Since she is an expert on a Mayan Martial Art called "Xilam" that in Mayan means: "to fight or to tear the flesh apart".
