Overall it looks good. I would say add more texturing (bump and specularity maybe) and sharpen a few areas of the geometry, just around the top near the barrel and bolt, so it looks less rounded/organic. The scope looks great from what I can see here, and the specularity you already have looks pretty good.

As for heiyuu's post... um, what? :curious:

I didn't really want to add a reply just for this: The bolt is on the right side of the gun, hence it's right handed. How are you supposed to reach the right side of the rifle with your left hand? Maybe I'm looking at a horizontally flipped picture somehow. :p Anyway, think of actually firing the gun, or look at some pictures of (right handed) people firing bolt action rifles.

he's talking about the bolt. the little bar that reloads this rifle. its on the right side of the gun, meaning its for a lefthanded person (you reload the chamber with your right hand).

I think your model has a little problem, the reality is that a weapon like a short rifle with a short canyon won't be able to achive a far objective, this weapons are for short distances and their radios of action is expansive, if you can post another perspective... we could apreciate the real long of the rifle. In case that it was a short gun the scope is incorrect.

Wgeddes , All one color because it is a tactical rifle. I could add some bump to the stock.

Heiyuu , No this is a right handed rifle. I am right handed, I shoot this rifle, thus its right handed.

Agent D , Well it pretty much spot on geom wise. I can sharpen up some corners a little. This is one of our sniper rifles its a remington 700 action, H&S stock and barrel, timney trigger bla bla bla.

Luis Arizaga , This is a model of the above discription, the view makes it look short, but it actually is a .308 with a 28" barrel and is effective out to 1200 yards with a muzzle vilocity of apprx. 1100 feet per second at 1000 yards.
