love the color, esp on the right side of the first. textures are kick butt too.
No offense but are these photos to which you applied a couple filters, or are they filtered artwork?
BTW your site needs fixing. Only the 3d link works, and even then it only points to a link of a list of your 3d works, which also does not work.
my immediate reaction was photos with a filter applied too.
if not then kudos to you

They seem to be photos with filters on them... If not then nice work. But the detail in the background is something that most artists would not work on as much, like the small color changes signifying depth between trees... hard to explain... Anyways, looking foward to hearing what you say

i found the leaves hanging in the air a bit strange..
I dont think i would have drawn them like that, unless its a photo with filters, and the tree is faded away.. :)
but i might be wrong ofcourse. And if i am, Great work... Then you should take this as a compliment  sheers!

Thanks for your comments. Here is a couple of more works plus some originals:
http://www.studioexistence.com/ezafat/fall/fall%202.htm
I am a 3d modeler but recently I have become interested in 2d works both in cg and
in hand drawing and photography. Actually I think it is possible to draw connection between
them all producing composite works using 3d, 2d cg, hand drawings and photography.
A hobby of mine is photography though I am not a professional and I love to go to beautiful places where
I can capture the scenery as a painter who draws them. However, often times the picture comes out
less beautiful than the real scene and further when I scan them the scanned image is even less
good than the actual one. And as I am engaged in drawing and painting , the idea came to my mind that I can
use photoshop filters to improve and actually change the raw photos that I take from nature to
producee watercolour or oil paintings effects. (I did not know that act might have been considered a sin !)
But believe it or not the act of applying photoshop filters to photographs in an artistic way to achieve
the proper effect takes not much less time than doing the painting itself if you are a medium speed
painter ! I did a pastel work about 2 weeks ago though my speed is less than medium and it took me 8 hours
to finish it (70x50 cm full color) but for each "fall" scenery works that you see I spend about 3 to 5 hours
applying between 40 to 90 filters to each photo and doing repeated undos to eliminate the undesired filters
to achieve the desired effect.
So it's not just a matter of taking a photo and applying a couple of filters and that's it ! It's rather like a
painter who has several brushes and different color materials(photoshop filters and image adjustments)
and sits down and painstakingly tries each and every one and rejects the bad ones to produce the effects he
wants.
One example, for "paint of fall" image I applied filters about 90 times or so- some filters repeated several times at
different stages- with many undos to achieve the effect I wanted.
Anyway, sorry to go so long,
Zachraghan, thanks, below check the link for 2 more Fall photos.
Goon, my site is under construction and soon I'll come up with many 3d, 2d and photography works that
I am preparing to publish. but here is some more 3d and ighting works though they are not complete yet
they need editing :

http://www.studioexistence.com/digipaint/winter1.htm
the winter1 is done in Maya , I tried to produce a painting effect as my first work in Maya.
poe, your immediate reaction was right though the job is not as easy as you might think, at least for me!
if you look at the originals in the top link you can see that in the "evening-twilight" image I have worked
hard to revive a dead photo. the original was so bad in terms of lighting that I wanted to throw it out, but
after experiencing for hours in photoshop I think I kind of made a modern painting from a dead photo. right?
fabrizzio, thanks there are 2 more.
Hysteria, I don't agree with you :"They seem to be photos with filters on them... If not then nice work",
dear, I think a work of art has some value "in itself" regardless of what means the artist has used to
achieve it. If you like the work and it impresses you positively then it's nice, no matter whether the guy has
sinned with filters or not!
FjOoner, thanks
Levitateme , I definitely "made" them, I don't know how you define "making" an artwork, but since I took the
time to find the appropriate time and place for the photographs and then I spend hours to manipulate them
for the desired effect I consider that "making". Ok I guess I know what you mean by "making" them . You
mean starting from scratch or using them as background and then applying layers with paintings... Yes I concede
this is a harder and higher level of production though the result might be less beautiful.
By the way if anyone know some links to good tutorials in terms of the method i applied please let me know,
I did this instinctively but good tuts would sure help to improve my work. I have lots of other nature
photos which I want to work on. thanks.
