View Full Version : Render subpatch curves?
Is there a way to get a layout rendering of the smooth subpatch curves from modeler? I want them for a reel, and I don't want the triangles/tesselation that shows up when simply turning down the render subhpatch level in layout.

Take a look at modeler's wireframe shade. I guess that's what he wants to be rendered.

If that's the case, use Chagidiel's Wireframe Trick (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71177&perpage=15&highlight=annoying&pagenumber=3). It's a brilliant way to get Maya/Softimage wireframe renders.
Cheers!

Answer AFAIK is no.
The trick :
- create an uv of the mesh
-Export UV via eps exporter (remove the grid)
-Reaply UV as a clipmap (or colormap)
Render, and voilą (In theory)
