View Full Version : Rendering: Error
Maven 07-24-2003, 01:14 PM When I go to render I recieve this message after it "prepares the lights"
"Insufficient Memory for Shadow Buffer for Light"
Then the rendering just quites.
So what do I do now?
System Specs:
Dell Precision 530
Win2k
1.5G RDRAM
Wildcat 5110

when you use shadow maps it renders the map out for all objects depending on the size you have put in the box. for exmple, put in 2500, it will render shadow image 2500 by 2500, now to get a smooth edge you need a high setting, so you need to increase it, but eventually you will run out of ram, try using a smaller number (you will get pants shadows) or use raytrace, more processor intensive, but less ram intensive.
or i could be off base.
