it's a bit to futuristic for my tastes, but the modeling looks quite good :)

Well I like the style but the front grill is almost too small for it to even be there. The back end well something just doesnt look right, it looks like its not really part of the car. Nice modeling skills thou.

i think the design of the wheels is pretty nice, but its not really practical. i think the car design is really cool, but you should put wheels on it that aren't super-custom. no company is going to make a wheel that only 1 car can use.

hmm.. not a fan of futuristic car models, but I love this model!

the rear end looks so monolithic, I wish it had four wheel steering! hehe :applause: totally cool modelling!

I love it... Would like to see a little more detail on it..perhaps in different colors too. So many cool concepts out there, why don't they put these babies into production...(yes i know, too expensive etc....)

Sorry,
there are many, many difference...Only a car designer can see...
The Peugeot 4002 of Stefan Schulze remarks the shapes of Lexus Minority Report, Audi Avus (1991), and Bugatti Veyron.
My car remarks only the drops shape like LMR. this profile is not a idea of Harald Belcker, but it's a idea of all car designers with great aereodinamic sense.

LMR is a my favorite concept car!

The difference between P. 4002 and my car are substantials and many likenesses are only apparents...
For example the wheelhouse of my car are an evolution of Alfa Romeo 6C. The headlights with air intakes is an evolution of Alfa Brera and old Alfa Romeo like "Giulietta".
The Three circular headlights in the front are a concept seen for the first time on Alfa Romeo Proteo; parent of new Alfa Romeo GTV!

Always you can see likenesses between two cars!
Ciao.

i saw this a few days ago, but no i'm commenting :D

concept/car/ model are all AWSOME. (awsome is the word i use when something is perfect)

BUT, you would have been picked for the gallery for SURE only if your title was different. (you still might get picked, who knows)

you might have just meant: "am i good enough yet?"

but some people might interpret it as "PUT me in the gallery NOW"

so Maybe for that reason (attitude) they didn't pick you. but who knows i hope i'm wrong.

and i'm sure u didn't mean anything, but over the net, getting the right emotion throw without pictures/face/tone can be tricky.

just my opinion, please don't shoot me :argh:

You are kidding right? Every car company makes wheels only one car can use.

Nice work. I think the back wheels should be larger than the front and the nose should be longer, it looks like its backwards. Love the sides.

the thing that stands out the most to me is that the exhust seems to almost be coming out of the wheel. even if it just misses the wheel well wouldnt it be a strighter shot to come closer together and not put and extra bend in the pipe there by stealing some horse power. but hell maybe you can clarifi for me and im just missing something.

Very nice model and an insanly great design. I love how you mentioned that many of that shapes have evolved from older vehicles. I hope some day I can buy one of these. Maybe they will make an economy version :) I look foward to seeing more of your work!

For me, it looks a bit like a beetle from behind ;)
Well, true, the main shape of your Alfa-, the Peugeot- and even the Lexusconcept from the movie is looking very familar, but I guess, people would have been said this 100 years ago too, about a Mercedes and a BMW.

Anyway, great modelling and design as well! Now give it a nice carpaint!

12-24-2003, 12:28 AM
It's solid work and a good design.

There is nothing wrong with creating a design within a certain style. I think there are enough differences for this to be called an original design, to me the cars don't look that similar.

Well done. :)

I would like to see it in an environment though - if you can do that realistically then you will be ready for the gallery for sure.

12-24-2003, 02:11 AM
It looks really good. Great modeling, but the design looks very familiar kind of like the winning design for the Peugeot contest.

Novakog
12-24-2003, 07:22 AM
Ya, I thought this looked familiar. Peugeot 4002 concept. But on second inspection, it is different enough to be an "original" design, though you certainly cannot say it wasn't based on the 4002 concept. Anyway, nice job here!

I dont want to point the finger but this car design looks suspiously similiar to the concept car featuring in the movie "Minority Report".

But i think it worthy of the gallery!

Great job indeed! The design is really good, I would just improve the matarials and try tu put the car in a more interesting environment (IMO).

But, if the purpose is simply to let us judge the design, your pics are just as good!

What else can I say...keep up! :buttrock:

I don't really like the cars overall design, but I can see that it was obviously modeled really well. And I do really like the rims!

I think it looks good. Just one thing. If the magazine cover is a mock-up of yours that you are planning on using in your portfolio, Denver is spelled wrong, it only has one N

the modelling, lighting and rendering and such are quite good.

but well, I have to say, I don't really like this kind of car design. It became rather common these days.

why this tyco r/c design? think of a modern but familiar shape - could you design a car like the new A6 http://www.audi.com/imgs/de/de/neuwagen/neuwagen/10774732693871500.jpg , the nissan 350z roadster or ford gt40?

I'm just trying to say that the most innovative shape isn't the best. Really evocative designs, like the mentioned cars feature it, are much, much harder.

Try your luck at these if you like to grow,
just a thought.

I haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if I repeat something that has already been said. Ummm...as I said in the subject, it's a very cool concept; I love everything but the way the lights meet the grill and how the grill kinda bulges out of the car; Maybe if instead of it bulging out like that, you would round off the area where the grill is now so that it is smooth and then just add the air holes (just b/c I don't know what else to call them) there. But again the vision is yours, this is just my opinion.

This is really similare. I don't know what to think about this.
Perhaps I am not the right audience for your work to distiguish small differences at the front and back, but this are very small differences. Sorry, perhaps you can change a bit your model, be more original, invent the new. Good luck.

Kanga

Real nice design!

The front is really alien,..... I love it! You should do a cabrio version just for the hell of it.

As an industrial designer I love futuristic vehicles, and as a designer I know one of the pitfalls of design is that two designers on opposite sides of the world can come up with the same product at the same time, so don't worry too much about that.

I would ask your advice on the use of a company logo though. I thought you could use these sort of things (alfa badge) if you use the image for your own promotional purposes. Do car producers allow this sort of thing, or did you do this design for alfa under commision?

Greetings Kanga
