View Full Version : Ant(ish) Walk Cycle

ive got two versions of a walk cycle i want to show and then i want you lot to crit away... ive got so far with it and now i dont see the code, i just see blonde, brunette, red head.
Ahem.
I havent animated the antenna yet cos im not sure about the bounce in the head...

hi .. i'm no animation expert hehe this is the second thread i'm replying to today :) .. well its a nice walk cycle i like it .. i would only do 2 things to improve on it .. i would kick the out a lil bit when he reaches the passing position .. and if u want you can rotate his ankle so his his foot/heel contacts on a lil bit of an angle ..
i dont know if i'm clear on what i'm saying .. let me and i'll try and explain better

I found this (http://www.junglewalk.com/frames.asp) on an adjacent thread, it may help to get that cycle looking more realistic :) Just click on the writing next to the butterfly pic in the top frame, it should take you to links of insect movement videos. May help, i hope :)

ohhhh- thats fantastic! ive been looking for a resource like that for a while now- thanks very much!
im currently re-rigging my character because it has serious flaws that became apparent in my animation.
cheers guys- comments most appriciated.
btw- the link didnt work, but i followed it trough to www.junglewalk.com -its got vids/pics/studies of many animals and non-animals (he he)- fantasic- thanks tummy.

Great, glad you found the link usefull (maybe you don't have frames -that may be why it did not work), anyway, I cannot really take the credit for finding the site, post laparaguas
