Well, this must be the second time I'm at least atempting to enter a CGtalk/CGsociety challenge since 2003 I think, so it has been some years.
here is the script so far:
Title: The hotel.
Briefcase was the case
Bla Bla Title
The Assassin. - Rather slim character, the same height as the guards.
Mafia Associate(MA) with important documents in briefcase. - Fat sweaty character with glasses.
BodyGuards(BG) of the mafia associate. - Pretty slim(normal) characters with sunglasses.
The setting is a hotel. It's dark outside, bedtime.
We're inside the hotel. A bodyguard walks into an elevator. Presses the button to go to the next floor, the elevator closes its doors and the bodyguard waits. While he does, a fibrewire(cord-like strangulation device) comes from above and strangles the guard and pulls him upwards where he disappears out of frame. Someone jumps down into the elevator from above. This is the Assassin. His mission is to kill the mafia associate and recover the briefcase with the documents/files.
Elevator stops on the 5th floor and the doors open, the assassin walks out and continues down the hallway, his clothes are the same as the bodyguards, so he can blend in easier.
The mafia associate is in his hotel room sitting on the sofa and looks at the documents in the briefcase, he has a sweaty look on his face and looks nervous, he has a machine pistol in his hands(just in case, hehe). Outside are 2 bodyguards that guard his door.
We see the assassin walk near the corner to the toilet room, he opens the door and enters, there is a guard who's taking a piss, assassin turns the lights out, it gets completely dark and a yellowish flash is seen(the gun with silencer is fired) and the assassin turns the lights back on, the wall is covered with blood, the guard is on the floor and has a wound to his head.
The assassin goes near a ventilation air duct entrance near the ceiling and opens up the bars and enters it. He proccedes to the targets room.
The duct tunnel goes by the guards and they can hear how he goes by but don't understand what's going on and one of them gets a confused look on his face while looking at the other guard, eventually ignores the strange sounds in the ceiling... (stupid guards).
While he's in the ventilation airduct tunnel he makes a phone call to the targets cellphone which is in the bathroom, that makes the associate leave his briefcase and walk to the bathroom.
The assassin jumps down from the ceiling into the targets hotel room, he has the identical briefcase(the difference is the assassins has a bomb inside and is set to explode upon entry) with him.
MA notices that no one is on the phone but decides to stay to take a piss.
The assassin is looking inside MAs briefcase and has a smile on his face, closes it and replaces with his bomb briefcase(leaving it on the table). Assassin leavs the room through the window.
MA is back from the bathroom. Sits down in his sofa.
One of the BGs outside starts to realize what he heard in the vent duct ceiling and enters the MAs room, but it's too late, because just at the same moment MA opens up “his” briefcase again.
We see the assassin in a subway train leaving. A second later an explosion is seen in the background. The assassin is emotionless.
I'm still modifying it, trying to come up with stuff...

Well. I'm getting the assassin in shape. Some texturing left. The whole model is actually completed but ain't completely visible here.
I'll try to finish him tomorow with rigging and all. If I have time =/.

Just posting the whole of him. Haven't had time to work on this. I'm still working on the rigging part of him.

Finally I had some time to waste this evening and finished this rig at last.
I'm having real trouble with his hair, not sure how to render out shadow hairs only on one pass, but this is the result I get so far.
I'm planing to finish all 3 characters and all the environment settings by the middle of this month and then start the animayshun :D.

jajajaja...nice character...is style like the incredibles....nice job!

Looking good, I like the style. One thing that bothers me is the transition from the chest to the arms. I think it would be nice if it was a little more anatomically correct there even though it is very stylized. A jaw line that doesn't flow all around his head might help too.
Can't wait to see him in motion.

One of the settings where mostly the assassin will be walking through.
I have modeled most of the stuff that I need for this film(mafia associate, body guard, rooms, gadgets, props etc.), but this one is textured and 'final' I would say. I hope I will finish everything before I start with the animation before this month is ended.
I've had had very little time to work on this. Ironically I did have more time in the previous challenges I wanted to join, but this time I have even less :(

Carlos - Tnx buddy, Obviously I'm unavoidably very influenced by Pixars work :)
Jared - Thank you for your input, 'transition from the chest to the arms', you mean the shoulders? I'll try to fix those. I wont be able to fix the jaw because I then have to re-skin and re-apply other modifiers, but I don't see that jaw going around his ear too much of a problem.

Yeah, the jawline can work...its a style choice.
As for the shoulder area, In the posed version the top of the shoulder is jutting out a bit weird, but I was referring to the bind pose image where it goes straight across from the chest to the shoulder. Since there is a joint, there should be some sort of delineation between the chest and shoulder.
By the way nice lighting on the hallway! keep it up.
