Hello!
I am finally thinking to get my hands on Maya. Since the Personal Learning Edition is still on 4.5 that's what I have to rely on.
I would like to know if there are much differences in workflow or general enhancements in the common tools between versions 4.5 and 5 of Maya.
I am just asking because:
a) I want to know if Maya 5 brought that many improvements to 4.5
b) I want to know if we get lost in Maya 5 coming from 4.5
c) I don't want to loose my time learning obsolete techniques and workarounds that have a completely new approach in Maya 5
PS: I browsed through the What's New document of Maya 5, but since I still didn't know what it looked like in 4.5 it really didn't help me much since i have no idea of what I was looking at :-)
