Hi guys, i was inspired by neversongs arnold swarzenager so i decided to create a terminator tx. this is my 3rd completed model, and it is turning out pretty bad. when i was modeling i matched the references perfectly.. but now that i see the head finished it doesnt look completely like the tx (kristanna loken) i would apreciate any c&c and advice on making her look better. ill post a wire soon

yes that is a prob when modelling exactly to reference, unless you have guide lines drawn on their faces your model almost always never turns out like the ref, so that's where your artistic instincs come in to fix it up a bit. but so far it looks good.

Hey! :)

Personally, I find female modeling very frustrating...due to the fact that..in most cases, the outlook of a female hugely depands on her makeup/hair style/ outfit...etc.

so, it's very difficult to model the image of the femal person, I think.

Thus, so far, I really can't tell if this model is her or not, but this model is certainly looking nice.

can you post wires and references you are using?

p.s.- what's that odd shading in the middle of her head? sideview

thanks for your comments / advice , ill post the references and the wire. i had some bad references, so that could be part of the problem. i think the best thing i can do now, is look at a good picture of her, and try to fine tune things to get it closer.

the wierd shading on the side is due to the fact that i modeled the cranium seperatly by making a sphere and forming it like a cranium. i didnt weld them together because i figured when she has hair you wont see it anyway.

well... one problem i can see right off the bat is that the top of her head is too narrow... look at your front reference and then your model... the top of your model's head is way too narrow... she almost looks like a conehead... fix that and it'll look a lot more like her.

yes the front ref is not too great but as i was looking at it i can see that the mouth and nose is slightly wider than on your model....but that's all i can pick out right now, and i'm not sure what changes you've made since the post.

For your third model this is pretty good, hell it's better than my 30th model! Looking at the reference images I would say that your head is too tall from top to bottom, and her jaw needs to be softened quite a bit.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this comes along.
