It miight have used Microsoft MFC...dunno. Search around for Microsoft stuff, since Max must have a lot of integration into Windows systems for not porting into many OS systems.

MAX was written in C++ a programming language that Microsoft also used to build Microsoft windows!!!..and that's the fact!!!!

To clear the waters, Max is C++ native using Win32 API (not MFC) for its GUI
