Down in her parents's house, Aya lives her other life as a secret agent. She hacks to government website for sensitive informations. Ofcourse she is tracked by FBI. They finally caught her in action and what's next...

Just a few words for my art direction. I will upload some more sketches to pick out the best composition. Comments are welcome!

a good start ,interesting drama going as well and i like where its going,a few suggestion tho its only a sketch, perhaps the scene can go slightly tighter focusing more on the characters it looks pretty loose at the moment, besides, since the girl are being tied and perhaps..the FBI can go less tension while interrogating her:)
also i think the scene can go a wide screen horizontal format for a better cinematic feel:)
good luck with the entry mate!i look forward to see more

I agree with MichaelZHsee (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=183795) about the angle. If the view was wider it would make it more interesting. Then maybe you could throw in some other things if you wish. (I always end up expanding my canvas until it looks almost like a story board, not that that's a good thing)

Hi guys thanks for the feedback. Yes..horizontal layout will be nice. I try to low the camera angle and turn her around. But you can't see her face (less of a sexy view :)) .. But then again..she is the secret agent so you don't really want to show her face. Notice she try to cut the tie rope with a knife...She is the martial art expert with lot of training in weapon combat...I don't think the CIA agent will have a chance :) I still have some other concepts to sketch out..maybe you guys can help me pick out the best one to execute.

hi alex,

nice sketches and composition.. great to see your artwork here and how you display your character agent. I love the scene and has a story behind it. Can't wait to see this one completed take care for now.

Is much better, not show the face keep in mystery his identity, and in that angle you can give her extraordinarily sexy legs :D It is a great sketch!

I agree. It tells a better story this way. :) Her face isn't the most important thing afterall. I do hate it when I have to omit someone's face myself.
And the cats are a nice touch.

I feel that the image need a little depth. try to put in some background light to see how thing may look. I turn the staircase side way to give it a more horizontal line to the composition.

I realize that the FBI agent doesn't look that good with that pose so I give him a new pose. I also add another man in the forground to give it more depth.

Here is the scene I created in Solidwork. I want to create the whole scene in 3d. Maybe a motocycle or car in the back. It is a garage basement.

I really like your idea here. Looks awesome so far. I think her chair should be turned a little, so the person in the foreground doesn't notice the knife as much, but maybe that would make the viewer not notice it either. Great work!

-Terraplex- (http://semaj-64.deviantart.com/) Thanks for your feedback. I wanted to put a man in the foreground, but maybe it is not a good idea because he will see her in action. I will try another study of the pose later inwhich the FBI will slap her with his arm. Her head will be swing side. I think it may give it a more dynamic scene. I am working on modeling the motorcycle and car at the moment. That will take some time. When I have all the elements...I will go back to study the scene again. But thanks for you comment and check back to see my work in progress.

Thanks for your comments. I like your characters models...they are incredible...That is something I need to work on. I am a product design and i have never create a 3d figure at all...I have to learn it real fast to finish this project. If I know you early we can team up :) Can't wait to see your character finish..I think it will be cool. Goodluck and check back to see my work in progress. I will work on the car next.

Madness-of-Hamlet hidden weapon ...ofcourse, but since it is hidden you can't see them :) These vehicles are for background objects. but if it has weapon...the bike would definitely have ninja star thrower behind the bike...to stop cars from chasing it:)

Rattle snake...what program do you use for your character? I am not sure what to use..Maya..then zbrush.....or straigh up MODO. I am just beginner on these aps...so that will be my challenge. If I am running out of time, I will just use photoshop :)

well at this time they are all zbrush man, i think u can use modo to create a very basic basemesh and then take that into zbrush to start the action, here is a little example on how does base meshes look like for me before start sculpting:

Rattlesnake...thanks for the info...do you rigged the character before you pose her? I remember that you can scupt and pose the figure in z brush right? Is there a speacial tool to pose a figure?

rattlesnake
06-29-2009, 07:43 PM
well inside zb u can mask and move your hires models using a tool called transpose master , kinda simulates addind bones , but is not a rig, it is only a moving tool that allow you to use some nice pivot points to make your model move into a desired pose.

Rattlesnake...once again thank you. I will test it out. This will be my first character :) But if you don't learn it now..you never will right. this challenge is a great opportunity to learn new thing. I am a toy designer so I deal mostly with product modeling. Illustration is my true passion...something I like to get back in. It is so inspiring to see many artists out there are so good. Inspire me to stay up and work every night:) it is tough after a long day of works though...What do you do for a living?

Sorry to tell you this, but the deadline was August 9th for the image category, sorry man.

alexandertran

Light86...Where do you see that? Are you kidding me:)...I check the rule and I dont' see that the time line for image submission end on August 9...That will be very confusion if they do seperate due dates.

Light86
08-31-2009, 02:31 AM
Yes it's true, I wish it was more clear, many people have gotten confused, but I'm sure because around august 9th a lot of people had to complete it in time, but now people continue to post, because they don't realise it's over.

You can still finish it thou as a complete work, no point stopping now right? :)

OK this is strange, I can't find where it says that date now?

Edit:I found it, look in this thread at one of the posts, just to show I'm not crazy lol, oh and I found where it says it, on the instructions part....

Light86...yeah I think you are correct...The image submission is closed...oh well..now I don't have to rush to finish it...I was on vacation for a month without checking it in :) I thought I will finish it in 10 days if I work on it every day. But I love this challenge and I will finish it eventually...good piece of portfolio for me. Thanks for let me know otherwise..I would have going crazy to try to get it done.
