View Full Version : If I love Modo, Which Solid Modeler would I like?
thomasbricker 06-15-2009, 08:49 PM I use Modo and Love it.
If I want to get into a solid modeler, which would you all recommend?
This is on a Mac by the way.
Would it be Rhino (for Mac)
Vector Works?
Form Z?
I only want to spend about $1000.
Suggestions?

it's worth looking at some of the industrial strength solid modellers like Solidworks & ProE.
less well known, One Space Designer, Catia, and Unigraphics.
admittedly, the problem being that they're $5500 and up.
i used One Space Designer for about 8 years and it was amazing how it can do Booleans all day long without getting corrupted geometry or crashing like sometimes happens with Max Booleans.
i've used Rhino & found it helpful, but not for detail design work.

Sounds interesting but I cant really justify a $5000 app. : )
