Hi guys, just a quick sketch to try and set the style. The story will be an underwater lair where our hero is put in a near death experience. Going for a cartoony look. The design is not developed, but it should serve as a slight retro style sheet.

A colored pencil sketch of one of the characters. Design inspired by Sean's costume in thunderball.

Hey guys so this is the latest doodles i've done. The final concept for the chick I think works best for the image needs. IMO, I think that style combined with the color design I did before should work great.

Her name is Vivian Niles, both references to water, as Vivian is the lady in the lake from the arthur lore. Niles is a throw at the big river.

She is the bad girl turned good, she tries to help the main character defeat the evil dude, but she gets caught ha!

Other sketches include some underwater tools, couple speargun designs, one gas powered, one spring, some dart pistols. Lots of folding stocks wire stocks to keep the guns easy to move in water. My favorite, an electrical discharge grenade based on the old german ww2 nades, enough juice to kill a few fish huh.

Oz, Thanks for the compliment, I'll try to get some more substance in the next week so may be I can get your opinion on it. I'm a fan of your style as well.

06-20-2009, 06:42 PM
Hello Christian, i'm following u too! great gun designs and i agree with 'Oz', like your palette. Good luck!

Hey guys, Sorry I ran out of paper on this one, and I stuffed a lot of character designs on one page. I just wanted to get a lot of ideas out of my head. Left to right we got Robe, Vest, Grunt, Frog, Trench, Swinger, Guns, Slinger, and the Saboteur. These are all potential designs for the main character. Hope you guys like em. Just have a couple more character designs then on to the environment, then production :D

06-22-2009, 06:40 AM
I love your gadget concepts.

06-22-2009, 07:39 AM

These are some sketches of some evil doers. Any more ideas anyone can throw at me would be very much appreciated, as i'm having a hard time really designing this one. And the crazy dude at the end is holding a syringe, not flipping anyone off. Cant wait to start on environment, I'm not much of a character artist yet, but environments are fun.

Hi guys, Not sure if I'm going to use it, but I came up with this concept for this gun that might fit in to my original underwater lair concept. What makes guns fire well underwater is streamlined stable projectiles. So this gun uses multi stage rocket darts which provide good accuracy on both land and under water, even though the gun uses a smooth barel. The gun has two modes. One is a rapid fire dual barrel mode, where both barrels fire at the same time, and the other is a marksman mode where the bottom barrel flips out quickly to extend the range of the pistol. Bye

Ok guys, so I'm scrapping my entire concept because I just wasn't feeling it, and it was a bit stereo. This is the new concept.

The evil terrorist are creating their latest miniaturized chemical weapon. Little do they know they were infiltrated by our all american hero: lance liberty and his trusty robotic camel: janus.

Here is my ak inspired assault rifle. Hope you guys like it.

07-11-2009, 08:41 AM
i liked your first concept, it's different from what everyone else is doing, although i'd go with one agent rather than two, and obviously i'd pick Vivian

nice assault rifle

07-11-2009, 04:54 PM
Miycko: I'm not sure how much I'm digging the original concept I did, It just feels like it's more about the bad guy rather than the agent. I'll do another sketch tonight to see if there is any life left in it.

I did this speed modeling thing a while ago that reminds me of your image.
