Hi there!

I'm trying to rebuild this couch (http://www.kielnet.net/home/henning.s/couch.jpg).

Now I wonder if someone could tell me a good way to get these "bumps" in that surfaces. I don't really have an idea yet, how I should do this.

I'm using Cinema 4D for modelling.

Thank you for any hint!

Cheers,
Spitfire

Hi Spitfire-X!

I think the fastest/easiest way to replicate the indents is probably by making a displacement map. A radial gradient should produce the same effect.

Or if you physically wanted to model the detail, then you could use a soft-selection tool in cinema 4d.

Hope this has helped!

Hey Sean-R!

Thank you for your answer. I think I'll try to use displacement maps although I couldn't get satisfying results with that technique in the past. But I think the surface is pretty good for this kind of maps.

Cheers,
Spitfire
