Hi,

I'm currently using c4d and thinking of expanding to another software for explosions and particle effects. Fluid simulation and the like. What suggestions do you have?

I've been messing around with houdini, but i've seen some awesome FumeFX for max stuff.

What would you say is the quickest software to get good looking results from? I know that may sound stupid, but for example when it comes to rendering although i can see FR2 being a very flexible render engine, with a great material editing side and generally heaps of great features, vray just provides better results faster. Throw in a sun and an hdri and hit render. Great results. with FR2 lots more tinkering.

So i'm looking for something similair for explosions and such. You know aim, fire. Select burn colour, smoke density and enjoy.

Cheers,
Vozzz
