I`m just working on posing the characters and actually still thinking of many things and different ideas. So here are the mother and the son/daugheter enjoying their picnic...and suddenly spotted an UFO

this guy hiding behind the tree (or something else) should be a secret agent from the Alien Bureau of Investigation on his duty...and the main objective is to leave no witnesses...

here is the alien secret agent hiding behind the tree.
I`m influenced by the early years and the rumours around Roswell and UFO worldwide. That is why the character will wear retro suits. The thing that you see in the left side is something like the tool that the MIB used to make people forget, but my idea is to make it a bit more like a gun (maybe Memoreaser). The design I took from my brain and the old sci-fi classics and besides whats a secret agent without a gadget.
This is not completely my final concept, specially about the colors and the final design of the gun...but its an obstacle for me not having a scanner and drawing all with the help ot the good old mouse and I need to have some time for modeling right? :)

I started from the head of the agent. First I drew a rough guide so I can keep within the basic lines of a head and than I`ve modeled really really really rough and ugly base mesh so I can imagine the head and the look of the character. I started from a sphere and didn`t payed attention to the triangles...as a second look I could say its deffinetly ugly :)

Hey Stefan!...great idea you have here. i like how it's going with the modeling. what i really like is the retro theme you're going for...unique!!:arteest::lightbulb

i just had thought...same perspective right, but the UFO has already crash landed and tentatively approaching is the mother and daughter....maybe in the background an SUV vehicle or something...lol! night time , foggy atmosphere, burning embers around the scene...lol ok i'm gonna stop! heh heh, this is just a really creative idea you have here.

i can't wait to see what you'll post next...have fun Stefan however you choose!!!:thumbsup:

here Ive mirrored the one half and got finished with the rough modeling. Still wonder about the exact structure of my character buuuuuut thats fine for now...the beast is to become a beauty :)

with some more twiking and sculpting I`ve createt the neck than mirrored the mesh and joined the head together.I think I`m done with the rough head wich looks bit heroic for now but it wont last for long :P

Chill!!!...It`s the same mesh but after a serious reconstruction :) I think that`s about to be my final agent head. I decided to fix the mesh and removed the triangles. A lot of tweaking and connecting were applied here and finaly I worked with FFD boxes on various definite selections of polygons so thats what I came up with for now.

I`ve created the other half folowing my reference guide lines and I`ve mirrored and attached the one half of the jacket to the other so I can get the ful mesh on wich I`ll work on later :)

here is the whole jacket part of the suit. I`ve applied turbosmooth to see how it looks.I need to do some more refinements on the lenght of the suit and the overal design, but theres time for everything...at least I hope so :)

To create the sleeves I used a simple cylinder and than a bipeds arm to pose it closely in the way I want. With some connections and the so so so great soft-selection I`ve managed to create more natural and "clothy" (!?!?) look to the sleeve...at least I hope so :)

I used the same method of creation and posing on the right sleeve and I could say I`m done. I am leaving the sleeves detached for now and will concentrate on that later...its time for the shirt :)

here comes the shirt...I`ve copied just the top most or end if you like polygons of the jacket sleeves and then shrinked them. Little bit of twiking and thats it. I`ve mirrored the other shirt sleeve and posed the two new objects into place :)

I`ve copied the existing collar polys from the jacket and with some vertex tweaking I came up with this for the shirt. The tie is made of a simple plane and put in place but not without the help of the so famous already soft selection option. And that is the shirts lifestory shortly told :)

here is the other hand. Made out of a mirrored copy of the already existing hand object. I`ve rigged the mesh and created some custom parameters for controling the fingers so that it can hold the gun :)

talking about the gun... I`ve used simple primitives, boolean actions and lofting for the cable. Hope it`ll look better with the textures applied :)

Little change in the concept due to the deadline. I`m creating the kid and here it is...the head mesh is the same agent mesh but deformed with the help of the FFD modifiers :)

I`ve used the same FFD technique to form the kids hand out of the agents mesh. Used simple cylinder for the arm and the T-shirt came out of a plane. To be continued... :)

here is the rest of the kid...the leg I`ve made out of a cylinder and for the socks I used some of the leg polygons with the push modifier and detached them to a separate mesh. For the pants I used a cylinder also. I think thats all with the kid modelling...:)

Finally the kid is ready...Or almost ready. I`ve joined the parts into a single mesh so I can put a skeleton to pose the character later for my final image :)

I`ve worked over the pose I`d like to achieve. I`ve set up a skin pose for texturing and started to work with the skeleton...envelopes, vertex weights, skin morphing at the end and after a pack of chill pills I came up with this :)

Here are some of the aditional objects for my scene...the window founded by the kid and the flying saucers wich has landed not so successfuly. How do THEY manage to stay so secret I do not know :)

I`ve made the tree and couple of rocks using geospheres. The ground is a simple plane transformed with soft selection :)

here are the stones...used various textures taken from diferent websites. I`ve unwraped all the stones and matched the textures over how I want. I`ve used displacement and specular maps as well :)

I`ve made the skin...didn`t concentrate on the quality and detail because the kid is somehow in the background. I tryed to make it as real as possible though and played with the fast skin map experimenting with various colors and values :)

here is the suit...UVs, unwraping and honestly said I really love what came out. Not so detaled texture as you would probably notice in the final image but I`ve hit on a rock with the texturing...to be continued :)

I`m working on the compositing right now. And also experimenting with lights and shadows wich is realy painful not only for me but for my PC also :)

Here is my final image. What I didn`t upload as a work in progress was the addition of the grass and the background sky. I`ve used Hair & Fur for the grass and the sky took from Mr. Google and modified it little bit with the PS dry brush tool. And for you guys...I`ll leave to decide if they exist or not !
