nice concepts :) are u using a tablet i think ;) what tablet do you have :)?
to DoubleP90:  I ONLY DREAM TO HAVE A TABLET (innttuuuooooossss foooooouuuu-huuuuur )...hhhhHHHHHhhhh...It is 100% mouse painting...
in fact I cant do a decent 2d job..this is one of the reason because at last i did so many 3d stuff. BUT...u made me happy!! THIS CONCEPT LOOKS DONE WITH A TABLET!?
oh happyness! :)
06-12-2009, 02:48 PM
yes it lok like a tablet paint.. i have an intuos 1 bought used on ebay for 150€ some years ago.. i wonder to have a new one.. but they cost a lot :( but if u need a tablet i suggest you to buy an intuos or a bamboo, they are still good.. mine is working very wellthe only thing it would be perfetc is a tablet with monitor so i can draw like on paper and don't watch the monitor.. the funny thing it's that i bought it only for fun (becaue i like buying new thing for my pc) and i dodn't used it since i discovered it's perfect for mudbox or bodypaint :)
AH! u use mudbox? how it is? Look good ,but i never try it.
06-12-2009, 02:58 PM
it's really cool, and even my brother that is 13 years old could use it.. it's really simple to use.. but you must have a tablet.. i don't even imagine how it is using it with a mouse.. mudbox it's simpler than zbrush.. zbrush it's a bit complicated to use.. it have a complicated interface
and about the tablet: now u can find the bamboo tablet in bigger electronic shops in italy.. i saw it in Grande mela (Comet) but it's pretty far from u.. try in euronics or something like that
PS: maybe for less spamming about something it's not related to the project you can contact me on my msn.. email@example.com
06-12-2009, 02:59 PM
Great start, nice job on the MGS4 gag as well, especially considering it was created using a mouse, as opposed to a tablet.
TO Justame2002: well....many many tnx!
to DoubleP90: ummmh.so is simpler than Zbrush...interesting.. I wait a lot for a wacom...and late in this year (september?) i hope to buy one... Euronics may be the better place for me.
There are many stores like that in Florence where i live. PS: Very good ps3 model u did! compliments.
06-12-2009, 03:10 PM
if u have a limited budget you should buy a used tablet.. or a bamboo.. i bought it used and it's cool.. half of price.. and it's like a new one (only dirtier and maybe without warranty) i prefer an A4 size..
ohh please don't look my portfolio.. it's really old.. i have to submit some new renders because those are pretty old ^^
wow...i love it..!! IT JUST MEANS NOTHING!!!
to DoubleP90: Old portfolio..? Old but cool!
06-12-2009, 03:38 PM
clean up a bit your incoming PM ^^ becuse i wanted to send you a PM and i can't :P i wanted to ask you.. what brush settings are u using for your sketches :)? are u using photoshop?
to DoubleP90 : JUST CLEANED!:D
06-13-2009, 10:03 AM
good :) how it's going ;)? did u started your modleing ;)? i should start it today.. or i start the concept for the characters.. because i don't know if make humans or some sort of animals, monsters :(
to DoubleP90: Good mornin' to u!
well...i take about a week to think, sketch, paint an making same putty maquette....basically I'll do some research and study...(the funnyer part of the work!)
06-13-2009, 10:17 AM
I usually serch the web first for some inspiration (in this case i didn't need to because the idea came up when i read the challenge) after that i visualize the idea and ty to sketch it, after the sketching i go in depression because i realize i can't draw and sketch and i don't work the day after i begin modeling etc :D
06-13-2009, 01:16 PM
yup yup OZ buddy has joined in!! :scream: great to see you once again bro!!
all the luck to you!
An acrion scene in the subway,on the metro railway....DANGEROUS!!!
06-13-2009, 09:26 PM
Nice colors !
to DoubleP90: ah-AH! Is an hard but funny works uh?
to nwiz25: Cool to see you here!! i REALLY WONDER WHAT U GOT IN UR MAGICIAN HAT!!!
Oh u 2d master! let us WOW again!
to RobiD: TNX! I tray to capture a cinematic look with this palette.
more dramatic lights
ummm...maybe I got an idea!
more details....the idea is taking shape.
heavy concepting....omg!!what is this!
The beer is keeping fx!
the blue character looks great!
06-16-2009, 10:45 AM
Cute little fella :) Good luck with this one :)
SO...things are taking shape...i quikly going to a comical/classic rather than original scene.
Something like a Smart/non samart secret agent that CANT keep secret his presence for long...or...at all.
(i hope my english is enought decent to be undertandable)
to MVDB:THANK YOU MICHAEL!!! Is a twice joy read this from a character artist like u!!!
to MartinNielsen: Many many tnx! yeeeah ! cuute "explosive" thing...just take a look to the red version!! (just below!)
bombguy : red version
So it grows up! AGENT-00X (is so secret that he have no ID NUMBER!!!!!)
06-17-2009, 08:12 AM
Uh ! Many things around here !
Do we have to choose to give you the trail to follow or you already found it ?
TO gpepper: OH! YOU! UR "Wereckicken" is still in my heart!!! What a cool character u did...! Well...everything u see...every element (that probably does not seem to have relation between them) is part of a common scene. So im now working on weld everything together...
anyway im very interested to listen to your and other opinion! every comment HELPS!!!:)
one of the ipotetic scenes...
06-17-2009, 09:13 AM
The bomb guy looks cool to me !
If you plane to do your composition as shown in the last sketch, it could be nice !
The secret agent with a 50-60's look it is soooo cool !
YEAH!! I point to that kind of secret agent! U MADE ME HAPPY recognizing that 50/60 style!!!
I was not sure to reach the point. Im relatively new to the classic 60 cartoon style...and im not american (where that precise way of drawing stuff born) so i have a big cultural gap to fill.
Im looking at a Huge amout of classic 30-60 cominc and design stuff... however ...im very happy u like the stuff at this poit! tnx a lot!! :bounce:
06-17-2009, 10:02 AM
great ideas man :) keep em coming!
06-17-2009, 10:31 AM
Absolutely hilarious :) Now I see the cute little "bomb-guy" theme.
Starting the work on AGENT-00X (I have still to build a solid character background)...so...enjoy the first attemp on shoes.
Second attemp on shoes...far more better in my opinion...
06-18-2009, 06:44 AM
nice shoe :)
06-18-2009, 07:48 AM
Mouahah ! excellent shoes !
It is going to be pretty close to the concept !
This is the original concept of the bomb guy scene......enjoy
JARVIS GRANT...secretly...the agent 00X...
third version of the shoe.
06-19-2009, 01:24 PM
Ow! Nice shoe! hehe
I love this comic style! hehe! And the color study is going great. I liked the both color you did!
Best of luck!
Here there are some images about what kind of environment i want 4 my secret agente scene.
Ill'put more blu/green light on foregroud characters tu better contrast with them from the backgroud scene.
06-19-2009, 03:24 PM
i'm preffering shoe number 2 the most.
06-19-2009, 05:54 PM
Wow, Oz, so many options and ideas.....(the same reason I started late :) )
I like the 2nd pair of shoes too. There was something nice about the first pair, but I guess darker color will go better for the agent (?)
06-19-2009, 06:10 PM
I like the industrial environment , the agent style and the bomb little guy could be a nice add for the theme:beer:
06-19-2009, 06:40 PM
You have a very nice stuff here:thumbsup:
keep it up
06-19-2009, 09:42 PM
Hi mate, great and funny ideas! love your drawings, good luck and bring it on!
06-19-2009, 11:22 PM
Great concepts, you have a very unique drawing style. Very personal. Good luck!
So...Im on detailing the backgound. I want a blend between a foundry and a rocket hangar. Here a concept in Wcolor of the rocket depot.
06-22-2009, 07:01 AM
I don't see many water colors, Pretty slick Oz, I'm a fan of the bomb guy. Very animated.
I LOVE ROKEZ!!! so I cant do anithing but start working on it.
My aim is to obtain a sort of Serious/non serious looking stuff.
The red roket is a good start point.
06-22-2009, 10:26 AM
hehe, going retro on us....
Wondering whats the setup....
Taking shape, good stuff
06-22-2009, 01:29 PM
Your rocket rules!! hehe
I thought in one with biiig engine and a little body! I think like that should be more a non sirious version! What you think??
Here there are the foudry cauldrons.
I LOVE THIS KINF OF STUFF! When i've some free time (rarely...) Im usual to walk around Florence to take some picture of industrial areas and facility.
So thx to this challenge i can put together some of my passions in one single image! The image u see,is a light and colour test too.
Hope u like it..
ps:maybe the texturing is too realistic...not sure.
06-22-2009, 09:47 PM
Great start! Good luck!
EYE CANDY....and some more textures..
to Neubius:TNX a Lot neubius! So.ok..shoe n2...Ill work on it! :wavey:
to MartinNielsen:hehehe cute and dangeroush uh!? Im still not sure if use it in the fianl scene or not. I have some ideas...mumble mumble..:curious:
to Lebowskii: TNX! there are still a lot to do! THat shoes are only pre-vids.
to gpepper: AW THANK YA! I love when 3d and concept mach!!!
to tunes: He he he Tnx!!! well...what i point to is to obtain a precise blend between real and toony...a kind of stile a little more realistic than shrek. But i got to say that ur suggestion gives me an help. Last night i try different type of HUGE engines...so,surely something "oversized" will came out! ;)
to smallone3d:ABout the shoe..Yes..i love the first pair but it was a bit to "gentlemanish"...
and YES AGAIN!! im going very retro styled looking stuff. Im still in a research period...one of the funniest moment in a challenge...looking at many of my old stuff and taking some brand new (as 60's roket toys). Is a funny and incredible interesting preocess making research and melt so many ideas in one picture.
to digitalinkmind: TNX!!! Im happy to read this! Industrial stuff ROX A LOT!! i love it! Ill put a lot of effort on environment...first time i did it in a challenge.
to Ataulfo: OH MAN! u are doing a great work on ur thread! Love the style of ur gals.Tnx poting here!!
to rawgon: TNX A LOT! is a BIG THING reading at ur words! A such good 2d artist huo appreciate my drawings!?? NNNAAAAAH TO MUCH!!! tnx!
to Madness-of-Hamlet: TNX TNX TNX! But...are u in? did u run in this challenge?
to nemotoad: eheheheh! oh yes! I did several wcolor but i post one only!! Tnx a lot man!I love bombguy too!!
to medunecer: TNX A LOT! hey! ur uplift was great!!! are u in this time?
06-23-2009, 10:56 AM
Thanks for your words about my uplift!
I really would like to be in this time too...hope to find the time...
So guys...after ur comments i had a..."step back" hu hu...hem...here there are the last shoes i did...based on the second model. Enjoy..and..hope u like it.
hey, funny shoes, good update, the color is cool too...
06-23-2009, 02:05 PM
Good Fabio! GOOOD!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
06-24-2009, 10:08 PM
love the texturing and choice of colors on the shoes. their looking great! I like the attention to detail on them!
to medunecer : Hope u will in!! tnx a lot post here m8!
to zlux : TNX a lot!! still not the final version but looks like im going to the right direction!
to tunes: HEY!!! u are encouragin' me a lot!! TNX PAL! TNX REALLY!!!
to tyleen: Oh tnx tyleen!! I love put details on stuff im doin' sadly usually this drive me away from the entire vision of the image puttin' me in a big risk! HAVING NO TIME TO FINISH!!! :p
06-24-2009, 10:18 PM
I know what you mean, paying too much to detail sometimes holds me back from even finishing some entries i have wanted to put in contests.
This time around I made a larger sketch so i can focuse on everything all together then im hopeless cause then i usually go in and paint detailed till im finished. Well heres to hoping we both finish our entries in time, Cheers!
Before modelig the Agent00X head,i decided to make a bust...a maquette to use as proportion study. I think that in case of a pseudo-toon character it may be userful.
take a look of a very first step in making the maquette...only the paper base. ps: (forgive my PSEUDO TOON ENGLISH!!)
to tyleen : Cheers to u m8!
06-25-2009, 02:52 AM
Hahaha! I love your ideas. This project is really starting to look awesome. Those shoes are hilarious! Can't wait to see more of this. :buttrock:
06-25-2009, 05:07 AM
So you are experiencing well,
like your concepts and the Bomb Guy!
let see where will you go
More detalis on rocket...
At last i've found the balance i was looking for.
That particulare blend between real and toony...Making the roket shorter than before and putting a single BIG engine at the base of it.The engine touch the ground making the rocket looking a bit clumsy ..Hope u like it.
06-26-2009, 08:09 PM
Great work on the rocket Oz, it has a great retro feel to it.
06-26-2009, 09:24 PM
That's the cutest thing I've seen all week, I think you can just enter that as your final image. I'd vote for it. You can't see it but the red one's holding a knife about to backstab the blue one, thus making it spy-oriented.
06-26-2009, 09:30 PM
Oz, that is looking mighty nice! I am curious still for the background :)
awwwnn...I've finished the second step on maquette...looks like the guy are coming out after all.
Oh gosh how im tired!! ned to get a coffee now!
07-01-2009, 06:36 PM
wow ! that's cool that u're actually building a maquette to previsualize your character! sweet work! good luck!
07-01-2009, 09:01 PM
Nice work with the model man. Look's fantastic. Can't wait to see some more.
07-06-2009, 10:35 PM
Hey mate! I just love your testrenders, good job. Ill keep eye on your thread for sure  keep it up
Last week was a nightmare...a lot of work to do...ere and there around italy..so I was not in my studio to work at the secretagetimage.
But..as u know...is common that traveling is good to think and eventually draw..(when u are in train as i was ^_^ )
So I was wondering if put or not a female figure in neat contrast wiht the secret agent hero...I imagine a very thin girl....something like this...
07-07-2009, 07:04 PM
Nice updates! I like the rocket a lot! Keep it going!
07-07-2009, 07:15 PM
Great OZ, I'm spying your UP ^^
Really great thread. I enjoyed a lot all of your concepts and images. Like the cartoon style on your designs, great! Waiting for more updates! Cheers!!
07-07-2009, 09:39 PM
As always you come with great ideas! hehe
I love the style of the woman and i think it's a good idea to have her in the scene.
It's a HERO Secret Agent! =D
Keep up!!! :applause:
TNX A LOT GUYS! U MAKE ME HAPPY!! It was an hard week...Last one i mean..and ur words help...Tomorrow ill answer one by one! tonight im a bit..hem...ummm...out..

check the entry below...
she's so pretty uh?
07-07-2009, 10:53 PM
She is PERFECT!! hahahaha
Nice one! =D
Here again...detailing the maquette...(prefinal)...
I changed a lot of little areas on it.
07-09-2009, 10:23 AM
Hello man, well i must say WOW!..haha, i really think the maquette is going very good, the style on the characters is going to work nicely, hope the lady doesnt miss the style once u make the 3d version, this couple will look lovely :buttrock: :buttrock: , ill be watching your progress man.
This is a digital maquette of the "Bond Beauty"...The model is simpler than agent 00X,so i did it directly in 3d.
This piece has been done
for proportion and colour study purpose.Im pretty satisfied about this first attemp.Im now reconsidering various aspect of the final image,in function of the "Beauty" presence...
07-09-2009, 02:15 PM
very cool stuff Fabio. I absolutely loved that little bomb guy and this girl got a very interesting style !!
it's fun to see that you're working in different mediums to get your ideas out, looking forward to see more !
07-09-2009, 02:55 PM

07-09-2009, 08:03 PM
