Bachelorette, I would probally if I where you try a google search, I have had good luck in the past on finding movie stills that way. Chances are good that someone will have clothes pic's and pic's of Wesley. Hope this helps you out.

1er jet: Guidlines in black, i try to have the general wesley shape
In yellow it's the shape of hairs .
Blue parts are only quick test to see if wrinkles are corrects.

You really have a sense of knowledge with using splines.. I remember you posted a street fighter model a couple months back... just wanted to say your style was really good.. and anatomically .. who cares.. it was the artistic style that carried the model the way it did..so all that was bringing this artist down... looks like he's back up... keep up the good work.. I will follow this thread so keep posting...

Working on the abs.
I think the wrinkle add more relief and more life to the muscles...

wow you're very good IMO. But having studied many men in just underwear :surprised I think the abs are to symetrical left compared to right. I haven't seen Snipes without his shirt so maybe he looks like that, but here: Look at jay cutler for example extreme example but it shows my point. pic of jay (http://www.getbig.com/pics/california/calcoll2003/cutler03.jpg)

it's not the wesley snipes body, i do it from various pics of bodybuilders. Thanks for your pics, it's funny he looks like doing a shit :).
Don't think what i do is anatomicaly correct because i do muscles one by one from various fotos where they are not contracted with the same position, and i do one with all them

Man the detail of this model is incredible! Don't quite understand how you get all that detail out of (what seems to me) an outline with splines..

Do you have a tutorial somewhere on how you work or could you give a brief overview of what you are doing here?

Model looks great keep up the great work!

Also do you have a link to the finished models (of 2 girls if i remember correctly) that you did a month or 2 back? Those models were amazing with detail as well.

Looks awesome!!!

Peter Pan: Lightwave has a pen tool with which u can draw these lines with. They are simple splines only that u don't have to click them out but draw them as you do with a pen.

Bachelorette you are one of my favorite modelers that are out there, i love your work ( the Streetfighter model, the girls, the 8 Lightwave characters...) and this is just as awesome as the others.

Can you please do me a favour and post a wireframe image of it ?

And about your technique (I think you don't want to talk about it, because it has been asked many times and you didn't reply to it, but i just have to try):

Are the lines you draw just for guiding you to get the right shape or what?
I just don't get how you create such details in your model from those lines.

Seems that this interests a lot of people here.

Hope you are willing to share some of you knowledge about modeling with us

THANK YOU VERY MUCH:love:

Hey, this is, as all your stuff has been so far, excellent! Love the style and the back is turning out to be a bit more asymmetrical then the front, which I think is cool.

While I thought you did describe it loosely once before, maybe I can, as a Nurbs modeler, help folks understand a bit. Now, if I 'm worng, and you feel like you want too, go ahead and correct me.

There's 2 ways you could be using the curves to make your model. You could do it like I do, make a surface along a set of curves and then detail it based off your reference lines (the extra bits you draw) OR you could use the curves in a way Rhino can, which is called NetworkSrf. It's a function that takes curves which overlap to create a surface from, often taking care of the detail you normally have to model in. It takes longer to get right and isn't my favorite way to model but it works. Personally, I think you generate a simple surface and then edit it using your muscle sketches as a ref. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong...

Inspriing as always, keep it going.

The lines are only to guide myself to the general shape. They represents the main contours and the main wrikles. I do the shape with 2point poly because i find it easier to add point (i use knife tool on 2pointpoly chain) and so control the number of point-poly of the model easily.
When the guidlines are finished, you can model with the technique you want. I use edge modeling with extender tool, or point modeling, using some points of the guidlines... my way to make the solid model has nothing special

Wow, I'm impressed! Some more information about your way of modeling this character would be greatly appreciated, but as long as you keep posting your progress I'm sure we can all learn a thing or two along the way even without more information. Keep it up!

Bachelorette:

Thank you very much, for explaining me your technique and clearing up that the lines are just guides to get the general shape.

Thanks again.

Hope we see some updates soon, but from what I see, this needs to be plugged when it is finished.

Keep it going.

Great job on the model! I see how you drew out what would appear to be spline curves for the contours. I was just curious as to how your generating the surfaces inbetween the curves? I saw you posted that you use extend edge, is that like an edge extrude? Also, I was wondering what you mean by point poly? Thx, awesome work!

To Bachellete

Great work once again. I love your style, you are also one of my favourite 3D Modellers and very inspiring to me. I'm actually learning Lightwave now cause that's what we use at school. I previously used 3D Studio Max, which I learnt by myself and have been using for almost 3 years.

As I recall in your Model for every version of Lightwave thread, you are making a tutorial on your technique along with the release of Lightwave 8. I just thought I would let people know, in case they had not already. Hopefully this is correct.

I hope I don't sound stupid or anything, but I was wondering if someone could explain to me what exactly 2 point poly modelling is? Hopefully I can find some information about it, not even my teacher knows anything about it. :surprised

Keep up the great work and Good Luck.

Thanks
