and difference between IK & FK

Basically, with FK, you have to rotate each joint independently. With IK, you move a controller at the end of the joint chain, and the necessary angle for each joint in the chain is automatically calculated. You would normally us FK for easy arcs in your acting, and IK if you need a joint chain to 'stick' to the ground, wall, etc. Look it up online, I'm sure you can find a bunch of resources, or simply look in your software package's documentation.

Another example would be..Picture your character on a dock..and it's about to sit down on the edge of the dock. But it see's a roach on the floor...so it lifts it's entire leg with a control at the end of your foot to squash the roach..That's IK (Everything moves with one control)
Now picture your character sitting on the edge of the dock and it's swinging it's knees..
you wouldn't want the whole leg (hips and all) to move..that would just look wrong..you only want the knees to swing..that's FK (FK control on the knees)..
