I have a problem.

I want to create a mdd file of an animated character (to reuse it later without rig).
Character is rigged Bones (rotation) + Goal object.
Classic...
I add the mdd metaplug to the mesh
Launch FX controler, hit Start and
Layout crash....

Can someone help me ?

I found , Grrr, stupid me.

MD Scan Then MD Plug ....

Arrrgh, another one.
I got my mesh object at subdiv 2 (display and render)
mesh is rigged and animated.
I apply md scan and create a mdd file.
I clear scene
I load the mesh (without the rig)
I apply MDplug

And then it only works when subpatch is set to 0
If not the character stays undeformed.

I know it has something to do with the MDDMetaPlug, but I don't know how it works.

If someone can help me......

Make sure the object's Subdivision Order is set to "Last."

Use MD_MetaPlug when applying MDD files to objects with different point numbers/orders than the object used to calculate the MDD file.

I'm very sorry to polute the forum.

Thing is I'm in a hurry for 2 or 3 days, time is short so I post my probs in real time....

I found the prob : cage object had several layers so it couldn't match the original object.
