is it possible with maya fluids to have an egg fall on the floor, crack open, and begin to pour its contents and fry. so it would just have be a less viscous fluid turning into a cooked egg. bubbling would be nice but im not sure how to attack that. any ideas?

You can try something like this...I'm not sure it would work but just starting the idea...
First you can paint density attribute in the 3d container to make an egg shape...then animate the gravity in the dynamic simulation tab so it starts when the egg cracks...In the contents details>density tab use negative buoyancy to spalsh the fluid down...then you can try rendering the fluid with surface render>soft surface and make a ramp which you can animate for the color...that could give you viscosity change look effect...and physical effect you can maybe achive by just animateing the gravity and the buoyancy...
This was just a starting idea...I dunno if it works...
Hope it's usefull..
