hi, you could put something else than fightsequences...
for example moving platforms or running:sliding fast parts(like sonic)
something like, hes putting one soldier down, jumps on the platform, platform breaks, your "hero" jumps on the another one and slides down very fast, smashing few guards on his way down, and at the end he destroy a boss by making a celling collapse on him or something like that.....
im not so sure about your visual style, your hero and the guards are very simple but the scene seems more realistic, try to give it all a "cartoony" or old-game style, so it would match beter with your characters....
also try to put little special effects, like small explosions when he hits someone, but do this explosions in 2D, like in StreetFighter game, its not so much work but it would help...
and try to work a little more on your animation....
good luck!
