If slide is slide multiple points along the mulitple edges that they're attached to - then YES PLEASE! only recently started using wings but repositioning points created using edge split to create loops is definately one of the most time consuming parts of my modelling process - still it's a lot easier to model organic with than doing it in LW!
on the clacos front, I'm afraid I've no idea, his page is still up I think so it's not a complete disappearing act

Sheep, you be one power hungry modeler eh hahaha

Seriously though, this slide thing... ya mean if I am splitting to join right around that I would only split the first and then this slide thing would do the rest for me, instead of having to work right around?

From Clacos, looks to be around 25 March 2003. here on CGTalk, and 22 March 2003 on the Development Board...

Though, I had thought I read something not that far back from him? Regarding his plug-in code going to Bjorn.

once you use it , there is no going back :)

what slide does is , you pick and slide a vertex on the edge , so it remains on the edge while you move it .

so if you are not happy with a vertex's position on the edge just slide it to wherever you want it , without slide its next to impossible to do this , you have to eyeball it. use all 3 axis , mess up the topology.

You can also slide edges and edge loops.

Its an extremely useful plugin I havent seen on any other software.

But you can actually slide a vertex along an edge (but not edges or edge loops) clicking on move with the RMB right?

Right JP I use it alot and it's great to keep the integrity of the smoothing...

Still,I'd like to get multiple cut and slide like the Add Edge in Xsi where an edge ring can be cut from anywhere else than the center.

I'm sure some similar tool will come along, just gotta ask :)

Yeah!

But Wings is now an excelent tool as it is, and better if you have in mind that is absolutely free and is a "one man effort".

If all this tiny bits that are missing make it to the app, this will be a kick-ass-best-polygon-modelling-tool around :buttrock:, even beating those "giant" commercial apps we all know off ;)

Can't wait to get my hands on version 1!

Best regards
