I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me which program I can take Z brush into to render and animate.I have an idea for an animation and I have loved playing with z brush but I have little knowledge so far.The story has a fox in it and I would need to use hair and fur.Is Maya the best to do this.Is it possible to use Blender with the z brush?
as usual i have lots of Ideas and very limited funds...Any input would be appreciated..thanks

ZBrush outputs *.obj's.

Max & Maya import *.obj's.

i don't know about Blender for sure, but my guess is, it imports *.obj's also.
