hi everyone,

i have been lurking here for months enjoying all the great art and learning from everyone.

last year i decided to learn how to make 3d cg models. i downloaded a free program and did a few tutorials. i then started my very first model around the begining of december and i am still working on it.

my wife bought me truspace 6.0 for xmas. i have been using truespace exclusively since january.

this work in progress has been a learning experience. i am constantly discovering new and better ways to work and i have gone back and redone nearly the whole model a couple of times. he is nearing completion and i wanted to post here and get some feedback.

i am not sure i am happy with his forearms and his feet are just roughed out. i need to give him teeth and other mouth parts.

i have named him Gruug.

reminds me of delgo... the face can use a little more detail and the feet also.. maybe the head can be a little skinnier to match the body type.. but maybe you did that delibarately ... well its looking good those are my only crits.

the face is a little smooth...once i finish the feet i will go back and work on the face some more. the feet are just roughed out right now, they still need alot of work.

i am not sure i understand what you mean by making the head skinnier. would you elaborate please?

i decided to work on his face some more before finishing his feet. what do you all think?

That's really nice!

I think the toes could use some more articulation, maybe add a knuckle in there.

the feet are not done, right now they are just roughed out to help me visualize size and shape for now.

i would love to hear more comments. this is my first model and i am just learning. if anyone sees any areas for improvement please let me know. feel free to be harsh ;)

i have spent the last few days working on his feet. they still need alot of work, they look too reptilian right now...
