Hi,
Just modelling a few basic objects i have around me like my computer screen and desk etc and i'm wondering if generally you should keep edge loops on everything or if for say my screen, i can split the front face up with the split polygon tool to make the panel and then for the back split the panel up differnetly to make all the randem parts that are sticking out?

Thanks
Chris

I could be wrong here, but my knowledge is that edge loops are only relevant for organic modeling. For everything else, as long as you don't plan on sharing the wires, then go ahead and model it the way you feel comfortable modeling it.

Yea just model it however it works. A lot of extrusions, chamfers. Nothing special. No need to break any rules usually.
