View Full Version : Cheap versions of Cinema 4D
snickrep 07-22-2003, 03:31 AM I am looking for a cheap version of Cinema 4D XL R8. A price range around below $290 and around $250. It doesn't matter if its commercial or academic. If anyone can send me a link of a store besides ebayt (and other auction sites) that sells cinema 4D XL R8 around the price I mentioned than please let me know.

The reason I ask is because I have seen cheaper versions of other 3D programs like the academic version of Lightwave. The academic cost for LW is usally $389, but I have seen it for around $340-354. The academic version of Cinema 4D is around $295. I was just wondering if there are any retailers they sell it less than that. I am kind of on a budget since I would like to purchase bodypaint 3D too.

academic version for $289 is the cheapest you'll find, here is the link:
http://www.academicsuperstore.com/market/marketlist.html?PHPSESSID=f1498d7f0fed36a86d55d90889f8ac6e&PHPSESSID=f1498d7f0fed36a86d55d90889f8ac6e&qk_srch=cinema&qs_platform=
or just go to www.academicsuperstore.com and search for it
If you find a copy on ebay for less and its legal, then there you go.
However I don't think you will find a retailer that will take you up on this. Unless they are having some kind of going out of business sale.
Also academic versions are non transferable I am almost certain.

there was one, a guy advertised from a competition he won..then put it on ebay.
BUT...make sure you speak to maxon who can explain to you about transfering the license...they have posted about details before on here.
