Yea, those soft ray traced shadows are nice in V8. I shouldn't have used the adaptive setting in the render tab on this one. This one rendered quickly.

Nice idea for a test. If I may, the softness of the shadow makes it quite hard to appreciate. In places it is almost non existent. Could you up it a bit? Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Richard. I liked the idea and the movement, but the shadowing was too subtle. The crayons almost seemed to float above the box.

I agree with Richard and Ross, i think is the compression but in case it is than the shadows will be more noticeable, as the colors are not to bright or doesnt look like an EIAS render. I think is the compression, you might have a look at that but is not the first time you post something for us to see. Thanks for sharing.
