View Full Version : Approach to shot
michael juice 06-03-2009, 08:37 PM Ive been trying to get this working in number of ways... but need some help with the approach.
I need to have feathers blowing in the wind quite hard then a gust come along and they blow away.
They need to react like there going to blow off but are holding out...then its to late and they blow off.
i going to keep scratching my head ?!?

Using nCloth and nConstraints would probably be the easiest way. Something similar to this (http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/duncan/falling_leaves_with_ncloth_and_paint_effects) tutorial.

thanks for the quick response!
tut looks good, although the movies dont play for me :S
as the shots are so short i'm thinking of using a hair system to drive the animation of them just blowing which might work...
However I am having trouble setting it up.
how do i get my geometry to instance itself to each hair curve?
and will the dynamics on the hair curve deform my instanced geometry?
thanks again!
