View Full Version : mia_light_surface in Maya 2009

I must be doing something wrong
mia_light > miaX addtional color
AO in the miaX is On
FG is On
the objective is to have some glow on the shader

for start, you should enable the FG cont and reflCont.. they are off by default (vlaue of 0)

create a sphere and plane... plane with lambert. create a mia_light_surface and apply it directly to the object. it will create a shader for you and plug it into the color. I plug it into the ambient color also. on the mia light select a color and set intensity to 1 and Fg to 1 also. In the lights tab below "lights[0]" click the texture swatch and pick point. theennn...turn on final gather and render.
